Hello to all and welcome to MARCA English's live coverage of the 2026 NFL Draft!

The 2026 NFL Draft is finally here, as 257 prospects prepare to hear their names called in Pittsburgh, turning years of hard work and sacrifice into reality.

The first round kicks off Thursday night with Roger Goodell set to announce the No. 1 overall pick, where Fernando Mendoza is widely expected to go to the Las Vegas Raiders. The Heisman Trophy winner could soon begin his NFL journey under the guidance of Tom Brady and alongside Kirk Cousins.

While draft night is known for its on-stage moments, Mendoza will instead celebrate at home in Miami with family, prioritizing his mother's health--adding a personal layer to one of football's biggest nights.

  • 2023: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
  • 2022: Travon Walker, DE, Georgia

With fewer quarterbacks expected early, Ty Simpson headlines the next wave of talent, while the updated eight-minute clock promises a faster-paced opening round.
