The atmosphere is heating up ahead of the showdown between Logan Paul and John Cena at WWE's Clash in Paris on August 31. With just days to go before the bout, Paul has not hesitated to launch a harsh criticism against the 16-time world champion, hinting that the final stage of his career has been affected by indecision

"I saw the switch to villain and I was like, 'All right, welcome to the good side. You can be yourself and people will accept you for it'", Paul said on the "IMPAULSIVE" podcast. "But then the switch back to trying to be a hero makes me feel like he's looking for external validation and is guided by the audience rather than himself."

John Cena's "crisis"

The fighter and content creator did not stop there, but went further, stating: "I feel like we're watching a midlife crisis live." Paul, who was Cena's partner for a short time, advised him to "define himself" and stop trying to please the audience.

"Who are you? Do you even know? Do you do it because the final boss says so or because Triple H says so? Are you being manipulated by the powers that be?" Paul questioned, suggesting that "you must have chosen a path and stick to it".

Despite his criticism, Paul was also positive, revealing that he saw a "real" side of Cena outside the ring and wishing the veteran would show that authenticity to the public. "I think he needs to stop trying to please the audience for personal validation," he concluded, "Be yourself. That's the version of John Cena that people respect the most."

John Cena's possible opponent for his last fight

John Cena's road in WWE is getting closer and closer to the end, as at the end of this year, the historic wrestler will have his last fight and with it, he will end a career that has him as one of the greatest of all time.

The main concern of WWE fans is who will have the privilege of retiring Cena and according to information from WRKD Wrestling in a report in mid-July, the chosen one could be Gunther, who already retired Goldberg in his hometown and could do the same with Cena. This is not confirmed, but it could be an option that fans do not like so much.
