A historic event at the White House

According to Dana White, the plan is to set up the octagon on the South Lawn, while attendees will be able to sit in the area known as the Ellipse, a park near the presidential complex."The layout of the place has the White House, the South Lawn, then a road and then the Ellipse," White explained.

"We're going to allow 85,000 people into the Ellipse, and tickets will be free. We'll be announcing soon how they will be distributed," he added.

The manager also advised fans to plan their trip to Washington D.C. if they wish to attend the event.

An event with extreme security

The event, called UFC: Freedom 250, will feature extraordinary security measures.

There has even been mention of the possibility of snipers on the roofs of the presidential complex as part of the security arrangements.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan spoke about the issue on his podcast and warned that the atmosphere could be tense due to the international context.

"It's going to be an event with a lot of security and a lot of pressure. It will be strange to have a fight at the White House in the middle of a war," Rogan said, referring to the current conflict between the United States and Iran.

A star-studded lineup

The main event of the night will see lightweight champion Ilia Topuria take on interim champion Justin Gaethje.

In the co-main event, Alex Pereira will take on Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title, with Pereira looking to become the first three-division champion in UFC history.

The card will also feature other notable fights:

  • Sean O'Malley vs Aiemann Zahabi
  • Michael Chandler vs Mauricio Ruffy
  • Bo Nickal vs. Kyle Daukaus
  • Diego Lopes vs Steve Garcia

Of the 12 fighters scheduled, six represent the United States.

A summer full of great sporting events

The UFC event will coincide with a summer full of major sporting competitions in the country.

Among them is the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will have the United States as the main host along with Mexico and Canada.

The tournament will be played between June 11 and July 19, with matches in 11 U.S. cities.

In this context, the event "UFC: Freedom 250" promises to become one of the most striking sporting spectacles of the summer, combining sport, politics and national celebration in an unprecedented setting.
