Two legends went head-to-head... and the underdog won. Charles Oliveira (37-11) is the new BMF champion after thrashing Max Holloway (27-9) in a five-round fight that went to a decision... but where Max had no chance at all. 'Do Bronx' was infinitely superior and controlled the fight at all times, giving no chance to 'Blessed'.

The utmost respect between two fighters who were meeting again 11 years after the first fight (which was won by Holloway after Oliveira's injury) never disappeared. But once the referee ordered the start of the duel, there was no option for Max. Charles took the Hawaiian down in every round and showed that, after Topuria's KO (something both have gone through) he has come back stronger than ever. He beat Gamrot... and at UFC 326 he put on a performance that was reminiscent of 'prime Charles'.

Oliveira controlled the fight, looking for submissions on the ground that Max was able to withstand... and did not give any opportunity to an expert boxer like Holloway in the striking. Even in a fight he already had won, he left the door open in the last few seconds for an exchange. It wasn't Holloway's famous 10 seconds... but it was close.

Caio Borralho returns

Back on the road to victory was Caio Borralho (18-2) who, after losing to Imavov, made amends by defeating DutchmanDe Ridder (21-4) by unanimous decision. It was a double Brazilian triumph in the main and co-main events of an event that, of course, will not be the best of the year

Gregory Rodrigues 'Robocop' (19-6) knockout over his compatriot, fellow Brazilian Brunno Ferreira (15-3), was incredible. The best of the evening.
