The wait for the next evolution of survival horror is down to its final hours. Resident Evil Requiem (officially confirmed as the ninth mainline installment) is set to launch globally tomorrow, Friday, February 27, 2026.
Taking place 30 years after the original incident, this chapter sees the return of a veteran Leon S. Kennedy alongside new protagonist Grace Ashcroft. With Capcom promising a return to "cinematic high-stakes horror," the hype has reached a fever pitch following today's review embargo, which saw the game debut with an impressive 91 on Metacritic.
