The NFL free agency period is always a chaotic jumble of players switching jerseys, and the Indianapolis Colts just made sure they are the main characters of the 2026 offseason. After a brutal collapse last year, where an 8-2 start evaporated into a seven-game losing streak following Daniel Jones' season-ending injury, the front office is swinging for the fences.

The Colts have officially made Alec Pierce the highest-paid free agent receiver in history with a four-year, $114 million deal ($80 million guaranteed), and they've locked in Daniel Jones on a two-year, $88 million "prove it" contract. While the offense is grabbing headlines, the defense is undergoing a massive facelift.

The team sacrificed their next two first-round picks to land superstar cornerback Sauce Gardner mid-season, and they've now bolstered the secondary by signing veteran safety Jonathan Owens to a one-year deal. Owens, who joins from the Chicago Bears, brings a much-needed veteran presence to a secondary that already features Gardner, Kenny Moore II, and Charvarius Ward.

From Houston to Indianapolis: The Biles-Owens Power Couple Takes Over the Circle City

With Jonathan Owens landing in Indianapolis, the "Circle City" is about to get a massive injection of star power. Owens' wife, the legendary Simone Biles, has become a staple at his games since they got engaged in 2022, often seen on the sidelines regardless of the jersey he's wearing.

This move marks Owens' fourth NFL city, following stints in Houston, Green Bay, and Chicago, and while the couple maintains their primary residence in Houston, expect Indianapolis to become their home away from home this fall.

The timing couldn't be better for Indy sports fans. The city is already the center of the basketball world with Caitlin Clark leading the Indiana Fever, and Biles is a vocal supporter of the WNBA star.

The two icons actually met last year at a Fever game, with Biles famously tweeting that "everyone watches women's sports." Seeing the greatest gymnast of all time and the face of the WNBA sharing a suite at Lucas Oil Stadium is no longer a "what if", it's a highly likely reality for the 2026 season.

While she supports her husband's career, the world is still watching Biles' every move on the mat. At 28 years old, Biles remains the undisputed Greatest of All Time, holding a staggering 11 Olympic medals (7 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze) and 30 World Championship medals (23 gold).
