Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and his wife, Izzy Nix, ushered in a major life milestone last month when their first child, Riley Belle Nix, was born, a moment made even more special because it came on Bo's 26th birthday, Feb. 25, 2026.

The announcement, made by Izzy on social media, quickly drew an outpouring of congratulations from across the NFL community, showing how deeply connected players and their families remain off the field.

In a candid Instagram post, Izzy shared photos of Riley Belle and detailed the joyful surprise of sharing a birthday with her father.

"Riley Belle Nix arrived on her dad's birthday - 2/25/26 at 4:45pm, 6 lbs 11 oz," Izzy wrote, adding, "The best birthday party I've ever been to!!!!!!"

She also infused the announcement with her faith, including the verse 1 Samuel 1:27, "For this child, I have prayed", and expressing profound gratitude for the week's blessings.

Shortly after the post went live, friends, teammates and spouses of other NFL players flocked to the comments to celebrate the new family of three.

Among those expressing her delight was Ann Michael Maye, the wife of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye, who wrote simply: "Congratulations!!! So precious."

A relationship that began long before the NFL

The milestone marks a new chapter for Nix and his wife, whose relationship began years before his professional career took off.

The couple first met while attending Auburn University, during the early stages of Nix's college football journey.

At the time, Nix was emerging as one of the most promising young quarterbacks in college football. Over the following years, the two built a strong relationship as his career developed.

Nix initially played for the Auburn Tigers before later transferring to the Oregon Ducks, a move that helped reshape the next phase of his football career.

Through those changes, Izzy remained a consistent presence, supporting him during games and major transitions in his path toward the NFL.

After several years together, the couple became engaged in 2021. They later married in July 2022 in a ceremony attended by family and close friends.

Since then, Izzy has frequently shared moments from their life together on social media, celebrating both football milestones and personal achievements. The arrival of Riley Belle marks the couple's first child and a major moment in their life together.

Family milestone caps off an emotional season

Bo Nix's second season in Denver was marked by dramatic highs and challenging setbacks.

The former Auburn and Oregon standout led the Broncos to a 14-3 regular-season record and the top seed in the AFC, but suffered a seasonending ankle injury during an overtime victory in the divisional round, an injury that forced him to miss the AFC Championship Game.

Following that loss, Nix reflected on the sudden end to a promising playoff run, writing on social media that setbacks were part of the journey and expressing confidence in the team's future.

In the months since, Nix has been working toward recovery while preparing for Denver's offseason program.

The birth of Riley Belle adds a new dimension to his offseason and gives him a reason to relish life outside of football.
