Michael Phelps swapped the Olympic stage for a Baltimore pool this week, delivering on his promise to give the Ravens some swimming tips.

One week after accepting the NFL team's invitation, the 23-time gold medalist met players at a local facility on Tuesday, offering advice on how to improve their technique in the water.

The idea came after members of the squad tried out the Under Armour Performance Center's new recovery pool and decided they could use some expert coaching. A dedicated Ravens fan, Phelps didn't hesitate to step in.

From the Olympics to the NFL recovery pool

Footage shared by Ravens staffer Ryan Mink showed Phelps working closely with defensive tackle Travis Jones, focusing on better kicking form. The session also included a lighthearted race, with Phelps giving the players a head start and swimming entirely underwater - still winning comfortably.

Phelps didn't sugarcoat the challenge of reaching elite swimming standards, admitting it would take "a lot of work" for any NFL player to get close to Olympic level. He reminded them that at his peak, he trained every single day for six years without a break.

While no one expects the Ravens to swap cleats for goggles, the day offered a fresh approach to recovery, a dose of competition, and a rare opportunity to learn from one of the greatest athletes in history.
