NFL Playoff Prize Money 2025: How much do teams earn for the Conference Championships?

Beyond the sports glory of what it means to win a championship in one of the world's most important sports leagues, players, coaches, assistants, executives, and owners take home a significant amount of dollars as a reward for every game won in the postseason.

The money that players earn during the postseason in the wild card and divisional games is not much more than the weekly earnings of a player who makes the first-year minimum salary of $750,000 ($41,167 per week).

Earnings per Game Won in the NFL Playoffs

Simply qualifying for the postseason already guarantees players an additional reward. Teams that make the playoffs without winning their division title receive $45,500, the same amount as the two teams, Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs, who get a bye in the first week of the postseason.

Teams in the wild card round with a divisional title earn $50,500 each

Teams that advance to the Divisional Game will receive an additional $50,500, and if they make it to the AFC and NFC Championship Games, each player will receive $73,000.

Players who make it to the Super Bowl will receive the biggest payout, as in addition to the earnings from advancing in the previous rounds, they will get a considerable extra reward.

The losers of Super Bowl LIX will earn a total of $89,000, while the winners, beyond the glory, will take home a total of $164,000.

In summary, each player who wins Super Bowl LIX could walk away with the impressive sum of $338,000 in their bank account.
