- MLB. Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne take their relationship to the next level and assure us that there are no trust issues in their relationship
Olivia Dunne, the former LSU gymnast and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover star, recently pulled back the curtain on what really goes on during the magazine's photo shoots.
While the final images look radiant and effortless, the process behind them can be surprising and far from picture perfect.
In a conversation with PEOPLE during Super Bowl week, Dunne described how the idyllic scenes captured in the magazine often contrast sharply with the real conditions on set.
"I feel like one thing that's kind of crazy is that it can be really cold and they make it look like it's the sunniest day outside and it could be cold or cloudy," she explained, highlighting just how unpredictable the environments can be.
She also shared how odd it can feel to wear full makeup while posing in a swimsuit, noting, "I think it's kind of weird having a swimsuit on with a full face of makeup."
At first, it doesn't feel natural, she admitted, before emphasizing that the end results still come out beautifully.
Unexpected moments and funny anecdotes
Dunne didn't shy away from recounting some of the stranger experiences that happen behind the scenes.
"I think that a lot of crazy things happen during the shoots, whether it's someone standing on rocks in the ocean and they fall off... I've heard some crazy stories," she said, showing that unexpected challenges are common.
Thankfully, she added, none of those wild moments have happened to her personally.
Beyond the surreal weather and unexpected risks, Dunne also shared a fun detail about what models get to take home from a shoot. She revealed that she was able to keep two of her swimsuits from past sessions, including her first year's Gucci suit, which was "so exciting."
But, she noted with humility, "honestly, the best thing you can get from a photo shoot is the cover, so that's what I got last year."
Importantly, Dunne's reflections remind fans that even when something looks effortlessly glamorous on the page, there's often an intriguing and unpredictable story behind the lens.
