No one expected Bill Belichick to enter the college football landscape and completely dominate it from day one. After all, he was taking control of a football program that wasn't in great shape, and not a perennial contender. But not even Belichick likely imagined such a poor start to his UNC tenure.

Through five games, North Carolina is 2-3, with the two wins coming against lowly competition in Charlotte and Richmond. When they've faced average to above average competition, they have gotten blown out, with all three losses coming by 25 points or more. On Saturday, it was a struggling Clemson squad that strolled into UNC's home turf and trounced them 38-10.

Bill Belichick's North Carolina Tar Heels are off to a horrid start

Belichick will be given the benefit of the doubt to turn things around due to his legendary NFL career. He deserves time to right the ship, even though UNC students may not have much patience.

With the Clemson-UNC score at 28-3 in the second quarter, the ESPN broadcast ran an interview with a UNC student who basically clowned Belichick's team for creating a depressing memory.

The student was talking about the home opener against TCU, which UNC lost by 34 points. While that was a worse loss than the Clemson one by margin, the student likely didn't have a very good time if she was in attendance for the game on Saturday too.
