The Harry Potter series is ready for all those who love the saga and the stories lived by the young wizard apprentice. Hogwarts comes back to life now through a television format that may add new details capable of captivating its loyal followers.
The official trailer has been released by HBO, and it has completely thrilled those who, for more than 20 years, have been moved by the story that enchanted millions around the planet.
The preview piece runs for two minutes and offers a glimpse into the magical world, where Harry Potter is seen being bullied by his peers, threatened with a pair of scissors, and also meeting Hagrid for the first time.
There is nothing special about Harry Potter - at least that's what his Aunt Petunia always says. On his 11th birthday, a letter of admittance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry opens up a hidden world for Harry: one of fun, friendship and magic. But with this new adventure comes great risk as Harry is forced to face a dangerous enemy from his past.
Iconic settings can be appreciated in this first look at what the story will be, such as the Dursley house cupboard, the Hogwarts Express and characters that anyone who has followed the saga knows perfectly: Dumbledore, Snape, and Draco Malfoy.
Millions of fans will surely be excited about what is coming, and the story aims to keep them glued to the screen so they can binge from beginning to end while eagerly anticipating the second installment of the series.
Although without spoiling, this adaptation for television appears darker than the original, it is expected to hook the fandom from the very first frame.
Previously, the producing network, HBO, had already released some images of what this new production would look like in a different format, which naturally generated great expectations.
The release of the first season of Harry Potter
The first season consists of eight episodes and is titled Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and it is expected to span ten years in order to complete the entire saga.
Recently, it was revealed that death threats had been made against some characters, such as Professor Snape. This adds to the criticism directed at the author of the story, JK Rowling, who has repeatedly made comments about gender and has been accused of transphobia.
Even John Lightgow stated that he considered leaving the show due to the attention generated by the controversy surrounding those comments, although he ultimately decided to remain part of the project.
Clearly on the side of the angels, against intolerance and bigotry.
Lightgow said about the story.
What now remains in the air is the excitement felt by devoted fans of the story, who will soon, in December 2026, be able to begin enjoying it.
