At the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada, just hours before the show was due to begin, Lady Gaga had to cancel her concert due to a health problem. The artist herself explained what happened in a statement on her social networks. "I'm so sorry to have to share that I can't perform tonight and I have to cancel the concert," she wrote. "I've been battling a respiratory infection for the past few days and doing my best to rest and recover, but it's gotten worse," she added, detailing that her doctor advised her not to perform so as not to compromise the quality of the show.
"I'm absolutely devastated"
Lady Gaga stressed that performing in Montreal in the days leading up to the concert was "magical and very meaningful", and expressed her regret at disappointing those who had tickets: "To everyone who was going to come tonight, I am absolutely devastated, and I'm really sorry". The decision was made just hours before the show, with the aim of protecting her health and ensuring that future tour dates are not compromised.
The singer had already canceled a concert in Miami in September 2025 due to vocal tension, and lives with fibromyalgia, a chronic disease that causes pain, extreme fatigue and muscle sensitivity, which was made visible in her documentary 'Gaga: 'Five Foot Two.
Lady Gaga tour dates
The concert was part of the 'Mayhem Ball Tour', with which Lady Gaga has toured America, Europe, Asia and Oceania since last year. She had already performed in Montreal on April 2 and 3. Her next show is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, before taking the stage at Madison Square Garden in New York.
For now, the artist's main objective is to recover in order to fulfill the last commitments of the tour without putting her health at risk, prioritizing rest and treatment for the respiratory infection that motivated the cancellation.
