If you like shoes, you're well aware of the pull that Nike has in that industry. From signature basketball shoes to lifestyle sneakers to fashion statements, there's something for everyone with the trademark check logo.
Other companies in the same industry try to compete with Nike, but they simply have a chokehold on the market. That has certainly been the case over the past decade, and it's not letting up any time soon.
Nike sneakers dominate top StockX shoe sales over past decade
As Cameron Cardwell of Men's Journal pointed out recently, StockX - a leading online resale marketplace that specializes in sneakers - revealed their top-selling products of the past decade for their 10th anniversary. Nike led the way in sneaker sales, to no one's surprise.
- Nike Dunk Low Retro - Panda
- Nike Air Force 1 - White
- Jordan 11 Retro - Cool Grey
- Jordan 4 Retro - White Cement
While StockX is only one platform, it's still notable that the Dunk beat out the Air Force 1. By all accounts, the AF1 is Nike's best selling shoe in terms of raw numbers. It's estimated that over 10 million pairs of AF1s are sold every year, making it a cash cow for Nike.
There's no denying the immense popularity of the Dunk model, though. The colorways of the Jordan 11 and Jordan 4 mentioned shouldn't be a surprise on the list either. They have become cultural icons due to their sleek look and versatility.
