Marco Verde said he is ready to fight in front of his hometown fans in Mazatlan this Saturday in the ring at the Centro de Usos Multiples, where he will face Texan Raphael Igbokwe in what will be the fourth professional fight for the Paris 2024 Olympic medalist.

Accompanied by his manager Eddy Reynoso and trainer Radames Hernandez, the Mexican had the face-to-face with his rival Raphael Igbokwe, who boasts a record of 17 wins (7 by knockout) and 6 defeats.

Fresh from Las Vegas, where he carried out an intense and productive camp with his father Manuel Verde, the Sinaloan pugilist declared:

"We're going to have a great fight this Saturday. I'm very happy that the whole team is here. Nothing is missing. It's going to be a great fight with great Mazatlan talent. I couldn't be happier. Now just waiting for the weigh-in and then ready for war."

Reynoso said he was happy to accompany the young boxer in Mazatlan and said that Marco Verde's career "is on the right track". Among the upcoming plans, he commented that they will seek to have him fight in different states of the country, and said that next year Verde will move from six to eight rounds, with the possibility of closing the cycle in ten rounds.
